A native of Fredericksburg TX, the country and western lifestyle is often reflected in Weigand’s artwork.

A professional photographer since 2001, Weigand’s photography has earned numerous awards on the State, Regional, and International levels.  Her images have been used in large corporate advertising, publications, marketing companies, colleges, and public displays.

In 2015, Weigand was awarded the coveted Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Master of Photography degree (M. Photog.).  According to the PPA, only about 4% of their photographers have earned the Master of Photography degree, distinguishing Weigand as one of a select few.

Weigand also enjoys painting in her home studio, often using her photography as references, or ‘plein air’ in the Hill Country.  Only creating a few original oil paintings a year, she prefers starting with a limited palette, mixing and creating new colors and values.  Her favorite subjects often include the great American West, Native American, as well as the Texas Hill Country.

Artwork has sold to private collectors across the USA.
