Two Award Winning Prints are heading to Exhibition in Atlanta GA

Local Photographer’s Work Goes to International Exhibition

Two images, titled ‘Coastal Sunrise’ & ‘Shiner’, created by local professional photographer Kathy Weigand, of Hill Country Images, have both recently been awarded PPA Print Competition Merits by a panel of eminent jurors from across the United States, and were accepted into the General Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s International Photographic Competition.

This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers and several photographic associations.

Weigand’s two prints will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition, as well as traveling and other special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world’s largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered simultaneously under one roof.

The PPA Print Merits earned will be applied towards earning the prestigious PPA Master of Photography (M.Photog.) Degree, which is awarded for superior photographic skills—demonstrated through the PPA International Photographic Competition, advanced education, and service to the industry.
